Alex is an executive assistant at Solid Ground. Her experience as a nonprofit administrator across 20 years is of great value to the many nonprofit clients Solid Ground supports. Her background includes managing executive suites, serving as board liaison, and managing the day-to-day operations of human resources, volunteer programs, IT, and event planning.
Prior to joining the Solid Ground team, Alex worked at two of southern California’s largest public gardens and most recently at the Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation in Portland, Oregon. She is passionate about environmental conservation and is committed to doing her part to ensure we preserve our natural resources. She studied horticulture science/landscape design at Mount San Antonio College in California and is currently completing the Nonprofit Management Certificate Program at Oregon State University.
Alex is proud to be using her skills and experience to help Solid Ground clients improve the quality of life for the communities they serve. When not working, you can always find her in her art studio, out with her camera capturing the natural world or curled up with a book!
