After 30 years with the Montana Land Reliance, Bill became a founding team member of Solid Ground Consulting’s national conservation team in 2009. As one of three managing directors at the Montana Land Reliance, he was responsible for managing land transactions, fundraising, financial management and planning.

For more than 20 years he has facilitated the Devil’s Kitchen Management Team, a Montana stakeholder group that works with hunting and wildlife management issues on private, state and federal land. Bill’s work has given him the opportunity to develop critical skills in strategic planning, mediation and conflict resolution, organizational development and team building.

Bill is currently treasurer of Yellowstone Park Foundation. He holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Western Michigan University and a M.A. in Economics from the University of Montana. Bill and his wife Billie live in Helena, Montana. They love to hike, camp and, in the summer, raise a large vegetable garden. Any time of the year, Bill can be found fly fishing the waters of Montana, and fall finds him wandering the prairie with his English setters.
